So people have been asking us about our guidelines regarding licenses so we thought we’d write them down once and for all. Most of it is basically just common sense but it’s always good to clarify.

Prohibited Usage

Use of works by ALICE IN DISSONANCE for commercial purposes
Use of official images and music in secondary/derivative works, physical items (printed matter, merchandise, etc.), and software
False crediting (remarks that may lead people to believe that official and unofficial/derivative works are one's own work; remarks that may cause people to think unofficial/derivative works are by AiD)
Use of the official logo (including all non-textual symbols and decorations); usage of highly similar logos
Tracing and/or copying of official illustrations (this is not considered a non-commercial derivative work)
Works that may damage the reputation of works or characters by ALICE IN DISSONANCE
Acts or activities that infringe, or may possibly infringe on the rights of others and their works

Permitted Usage

Only personal/private usage does not require contact; please get in touch via CONTACT for any corporate or commercial usage

Usage of images, movies, and text for the sole purpose of introducing the work (reviews, articles, etc.) are allowed for both private or commercial channels
However, please attribute credits (example: ©ALICE IN DISSONANCE) and refrain from posting spoilers
Permitted derivative works following the above listed terms for prohibited usage
Performances and arrangements/remixes of music contained within the works' soundtracks
All forms of cosplay as well as figures
Gameplay footage within the trial version (or within the range that is playable for free)
Processing, editing, and display of official videos

Fan activities such as creation of derivative works, cosplay, and so on are welcomed, but please practice self-responsibility. AiD will not take any responsibility for any incidents that occur due to these fan activities. Furthermore, the above guidelines are subject to change without notice.

Use of Official Images, Videos, Music

Images

If it’s for personal use, go right ahead. Try not to make images look too official though… if you want, send it over to us and we’ll make it official if it’s made well. The only exception would be Patreon images. Please do not alter or publicize Patreon images without our permission.

Printing Materials

Please limit printing of official images to a small number with a household printer. Refrain from using a commercial printing press, or printing large quantities.

Music and SE

Please respect our music and sound effects’ copyrights. Unaltered use is prohibited. Reasonably altered remixes and arranges are allowed and we’d love to hear what people have made.

Casting

We ask kindly to limit casting and Let’s Play’s to the extent of the public demo’s of the games.Please do not stream or cast games that do not have demos.

fault milestone one = up to chapter 4
fault milestone two side:above = up to chapter 2
Mhakna Gramura and Fairy Bell = No demo version

Regarding Secondary/Derivative Works

Sales of Doujinshi, Music Arrangements/Remixes

There are no limitations regarding the production and sale of these works as long as they follow the above listed guidelines on permitted and prohibited usage. Works that pair various characters, as well as adult-only depictions are also allowed. Please limit arrangements and remixes to only the music in the soundtracks.

Regarding Goods/Merchandise

Production and sales of secondary/derivative goods and other merchandise is prohibited (excluding printing/creating limited copies at home for personal use). If you have any particular merchandise you'd like to have made, please get in touch with us through CONTACT or via our Twitter!

Video Production, 3D Modeling

Please feel free to create/produce these works. However, refrain from advertising or selling them as your own original work.
